Our Story
HokaPharalsi was born out of a simple frustration: finding reliable, detailed information about cycling routes in the Czech Republic was harder than it should be. As avid cyclists who have spent years exploring this beautiful country on two wheels, we decided to create the resource we wished we had when we first started riding here.
Founded in 2024, our platform has grown from a small personal blog into a comprehensive guide covering dozens of routes across Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia. Every trail we feature has been ridden, photographed, and documented by our team.
What We Do
We personally ride and review cycling routes throughout the Czech Republic. Our reviews go beyond simple distance and elevation data. We document surface quality, scenic highlights, rest stop options, bike-friendly services, and the cultural and historical context of each route.
Our goal is to help cyclists of all skill levels discover the remarkable variety of riding experiences the Czech Republic offers, from gentle riverside paths to challenging mountain trails.
Our Approach
- Every route is personally ridden by at least one team member before we publish a review
- We update our guides regularly to reflect changes in trail conditions, services, and infrastructure
- We use only verified, publicly licensed images from sources like Wikimedia Commons
- We maintain editorial independence and do not accept paid placements in our route reviews
- We link to authoritative external sources such as Czech Tourism and EuroVelo for additional planning resources
The Czech Republic for Cyclists
With over 40,000 kilometers of marked cycling trails, the Czech Republic is one of Europe's most bike-friendly countries. The national trail system uses a color-coded marking system that makes navigation straightforward, even in remote areas. From the EuroVelo long-distance routes that cross the country to local loops around reservoirs and through wine regions, there is truly something for every rider.
The country's compact size means you can experience dramatically different landscapes within a single multi-day trip. Start along the gentle Elbe River valley, climb into the Bohemian Forest highlands, and finish among the sun-kissed vineyards of South Moravia, all within a week of riding.
